Effective September 30, 2026
Party Up is a tool for discovering and hosting events. You accept these terms when you create your account, and again whenever we ask you to accept an updated version.
In short• Party Up is a tool — hosts organize events. The operator is not the organizer of third-party meetups, and hosts act independently: nothing here creates an employment, agency, or partnership relationship.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use Party Up. You give your date of birth when you sign up; an account found to be under 18 is closed.
• Give your date of birth and, if you give it, your gender truthfully. When you bring guests to an event with gender or age rules, you confirm they meet them. False statements can lead to removal from events or from Party Up.
• Party Up does not verify anyone's identity, age, gender or background. Names, photos, dates of birth and genders are declared by users themselves, and reliability figures only reflect what was recorded in the app. You decide whom to meet and which events to join.
• You are responsible for your listings, photos, bios, and reviews.
• Chat messages follow the same content rules as everything else you post. Group admins and moderators can delete messages in their group's chat, event hosts can delete messages in their event's chat, and those deletions are logged for the admins of the group. You can delete your own messages while you can still see the chat.
• You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to store and display it inside Party Up so the app can work — your avatar on your profile, or an event cover for people browsing. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
• Do not post illegal content, harassment, hate speech, sexual content involving minors, spam, or impersonation.
• Events marked public are reviewed before they appear in the public listing. We may decline a listing that is not a real event open to the public, lacks what people need to attend, or breaks these terms. A declined event stays visible to its hosts and to people it was already shared with.
• That review only checks that a listing is complete and follows these terms. It does not check that the event is safe, lawful or authorised, or who runs it, and an approved listing is not a recommendation or a guarantee.
• In-person meetups are at your own risk.
• Meet people you do not know in busy public places, tell someone you trust where you are going and with whom, arrange your own way home, and leave if you feel uncomfortable. Report misconduct through the in-app Report flow. In an emergency, call 112 first — a report in the app does not replace the police.
• Allergen tags on an event are declared by its host and are not verified by Party Up. An event with no tags is not allergen-free. If you have allergies, confirm with the host before attending.
• Event price is informational only — there are no in-app payments.
• If you host, you handle your own permits, licences, and taxes, including anything you collect from guests outside the app.
• Hosts can limit an event by gender or age, or balance it between women and men. Hosts are responsible for using these options lawfully, in particular for paid or business events.
• Party Up relies on third-party services — sign-in (Google, Apple, Telegram), maps, and push delivery. Their own terms apply when you use them.
• Party Up is provided as it is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we cannot promise that an event happens as described or that other people behave as they should. Nothing here removes consumer rights you cannot waive under the law of your country.
• We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these terms. When we do, we tell you why and which rule applies, and you can contest the decision in the app within 6 months; a person reviews every appeal. You can also turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body or the courts.
• A host can ban you from their own events. We can ban you from the platform — a platform ban means you should not sign up again with a new account.
• We may update these terms. Material changes are announced in the in-app Changelog, and you will be asked to accept them before you continue using Party Up.
• Report concerns via the in-app Report flow. You can delete your account from Settings.
Party Up (the "App") is run by the operator named at the end of this page (the "Operator", "we"), whom you can reach at the address shown there. That address is also the single point of contact for users and authorities under Articles 11 and 12 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (the Digital Services Act, DSA).
For now, the Operator is a private individual. When a company is set up to run Party Up, the service and the Operator's place under these Terms will pass to it. We will tell Hosts and Users clearly before that happens. The service and its purposes will stay the same.
These terms (the "Terms") govern your use of the App on the web, iOS, Android and through the Telegram and Discord bots. How we process personal data is described in the Privacy policy, which is not part of these Terms.
• User: anyone with a Party Up account.
• Host: the User who creates an event or co-hosts it.
• Event: a meetup a Host creates through the App, public or private.
• Group: a space of Users with its own admins and moderators.
• Content: text, photos, bios, reviews, chat messages and any other material a User publishes.
1. You must be at least 18 years old to use Party Up. You give your date of birth when you sign up; if it shows you are under 18, we close the account.
2. You sign in through a third-party service (Google, Apple, Telegram or Discord). You are responsible for what happens with your account and must tell us at once if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Give your date of birth and, if you give it, your gender truthfully. Both are set once: to correct them, contact us.
4. When you bring guests to an event with gender or age rules, you confirm they meet them.
5. False statements can lead to removal from events or from the platform.
6. If you have been banned from the platform, you may not sign up again with another account.
1. Party Up is a tool to discover, organise and coordinate events. Events are organised by Hosts, not by the Operator.
2. The Operator is not the organiser, promoter or venue of any event, nor a party to agreements between Users. It does not attend events and does not control how they run.
3. Hosts act on their own. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, mandate, company or partnership relationship between the Operator and any User.
4. For Users' Content, the Operator acts as a hosting service provider under Article 6 of the DSA.
1. Party Up does not verify anyone's identity, age, gender, background or trustworthiness. Dates of birth, genders, names and photos are declared by Users themselves.
2. Reliability figures (attendance, late leaves, no-shows) only reflect what was recorded in the App. They are not a check on, or a guarantee about, the person.
3. It is up to you to decide whom to meet and which events to join.
1. A Host is solely responsible for how their event runs: the safety and capacity of the venue, permits, licences, insurance, taxes and every legal duty, including anything they collect from guests outside the App.
2. A Host can limit an event by gender or age, or balance it between women and men. The Host is responsible for using these options lawfully, in particular for paid or business events.
3. Event details (description, place, times, price, allergen tags) are entered by the Host and are not checked by Party Up. An event without allergen tags is not allergen-free: if you have allergies, check with the Host before you go.
4. The price shown is for information only. Party Up handles no payments: any payment happens directly between Users and the Host, outside the App.
5. A Host can exclude a User from their own events.
1. Events marked public are reviewed before they appear in the public listing. We may decline a listing that is not a real event open to the public, lacks what people need to attend, or breaks these Terms.
2. That review only checks that a listing is complete and follows these Terms. It does not check that the event is safe, lawful or authorised, that it will happen as described, or who runs it. An approved listing is not a recommendation or a guarantee.
3. A declined event stays visible to its Hosts and to the people it was already shared with.
In-person meetups are at your own risk. Party Up is not present at events and cannot guarantee how other people behave. We suggest that you:
• meet people you do not know in busy public places;
• tell someone you trust where you are going and with whom;
• arrange your own way there and back;
• do not share personal or financial details with people you have just met;
• leave if a situation makes you uncomfortable;
• report misconduct with the App's Report feature.
If you are in danger or witness a crime, call 112 at once. A report in the App does not replace the police.
1. You are responsible for the Content you publish: events, photos, bios, reviews and messages.
2. You keep ownership of your Content. You give us a free, non-exclusive licence, limited to storing and showing it inside Party Up as far as the App needs to work, for example your avatar on your profile or an event's cover. The licence ends when you delete the Content or your account.
3. Chat messages follow the same rules as all Content. Group admins and moderators can delete messages in their Group's chat; Hosts can delete them in their event's chat. These deletions are logged for the Group's admins. You can delete your own messages while you can still see the chat.
4. You must not publish or do any of the following: illegal content; harassment, threats or stalking; hate speech; sexual content involving minors; spam or unsolicited advertising; impersonating others; harvesting other Users' data; getting around the App's technical or security measures.
5. Hosts, co-hosts and Group admins and moderators see other Users' data only so they can run their events and Groups: names, photos, replies, attendance marks, join requests and chats. They may use it only for that. They must not copy it out of the App or use it for anything else, such as advertising or their own mailing lists, unless they have their own legal basis for it.
1. You can report Content or Users with the App's Report feature. We review reports diligently.
2. We may remove Content, restrict features or suspend accounts that break these Terms or the law. When we do, we tell you why and which rule applies (Article 17 DSA).
3. You can appeal the decision in the App within 6 months. A person reviews every appeal. You can also turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body (Article 21 DSA) or to the courts.
4. A platform ban applies to the person, not only to the account.
Party Up relies on third-party services for sign-in (Google, Apple, Telegram, Discord), Steam account linking, game search (IGDB), maps, push notifications and the Telegram and Discord bots. When you use them, their terms apply too. We are not responsible for how those services work.
The name Party Up, its logo, the App's software, design and texts belong to the Operator or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may use the App for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute or resell them, or extract the App's data in bulk, without our written permission. Your own Content stays yours, as section 9 sets out.
Party Up is provided free of charge and as it is. We do not guarantee that it is always available or free of errors. We may change, suspend or discontinue features or the whole service, with reasonable notice where possible.
1. The Operator is not liable for the events, meetups, conduct, statements or Content of Users and Hosts, nor for harm suffered during or in connection with an event, unless it results from the Operator's own breach of the law or of these Terms.
2. As far as the law allows, the Operator is not liable for slight negligence causing indirect loss, such as loss of data, opportunity or earnings.
3. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits the Operator's liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by its act or omission, or any consumer right that the law does not allow to be waived.
A Host agrees to hold the Operator harmless from claims, penalties and costs, including reasonable legal fees, brought by third parties in connection with the events they host or with their breach of the law or of these Terms, as far as the law that applies to consumers allows.
We may update these Terms when the service or the law changes. Material changes are announced in the App's Changelog, and you will be asked to accept them before you keep using Party Up. If you do not accept them, you can delete your account.
1. You can delete your account at any time from Settings.
2. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, as set out in section 10.
3. Sections 14, 15 and 18 remain in force after an account is closed.
1. These Terms are governed by Italian law.
2. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim before the courts of your place of residence or domicile.
3. If you are not a consumer, for example a Host who runs events as part of a business or profession, any dispute goes exclusively to the courts of the place where the Operator has its seat.
4. You can also use the out-of-court dispute settlement bodies provided for in Article 21 of the DSA.
Luca Santalucia operates Party Up.
Governing law: Italia. As a consumer, you may still have the right to bring proceedings in the country where you live.
